For the sake of the owner’s privacy, for the purpose of this report they shall be known as Mike & Jane.
Introduction
When Mike and Jane from Branksome phoned Andy Jackson & Kate Weston’s radio show they probably never thought they would get a personal visit from the DJ’s let alone have their house invaded for the night by a bunch of eager paranormal enthusiasts.
When we contacted the show, spookily on the same day Jane did, we never imagined we would get to investigate a listeners home!
Wayne and I (Julie) visited Jane, Mike and their family which included lots of kids 2 beautiful dogs and 3 cats we were treated to some of the most incredible stories of paranormal activity that I think we have ever heard to date. These included things moving on a regular basis, the dogs being rubbed and stroked by invisible hands, clocks stopping, icy chills in very warm rooms, televisions acting uncontrollably, sounds of crockery smashing yet nothing seeming out of place and the most amazing reports of hooded figures stroking the children’s heads as they lay in bed at night. The house has been exorcised... twice by a bishop and yet still these events happened night after night. They became a regular part of family life and all admitted to paying little attention to it after putting up with it for so long, however would the spirits of this large old house make an appearance on the night or would they hang back and just watch? We could not wait to find out.

Each team will have use of a night vision camcorder, dictaphone, digital camera, laser thermometer, note sheets.

Group Experiments
While the group were on a tour of the house, Wayne & Jane sketched a simple plan of the rooms. When investigators and guests returned from the tour everyone took turns marking their initials on the plan where they felt to be most active.
We also had use of the ouija board and the Southern Paranormal Table for glass divination.
Team Notes
Before we had even started our vigils, Jane and myself (Julie) were stood in the doorway between the lounge and the dining room. I can confirm all other investigators and pets were in the lounge. There was a beautiful old chandelier on the floor under the table (waiting for the owners to have it fitted). Jane and myself were aprox 4 foot away from it and were standing still. The chandelier then started to shake making the crystals and glass on it tinkle. The group came out to observe what Jane and I were watching and in front of several investigators (and Andy Jackson) the chandelier shifted position on the floor. We have no explanation for this. A Dictaphone was placed next to the chandelier for the rest of the night to capture any more movements (as the Dictaphone would capture the obvious and fairly audible tinkling noise of the crystals/glass). On reviewing the tapes, no more movement of this kind seems to have been recorded.

Unfortunately although there was some movement of the planchette, no real details were established apart from the significance of the year 1945. Without any more details we are unable to research into what this may be of relevance to.
Swinging Dog Chains
Observed and filmed by team 2. These appeared to start swinging on their own. They are hung on the wall in the entrance hall. This was very impressive but on further investigation I myself (Julie) was more willing to put it down to the fact that the chains were weighted at the bottom so the slightest movement would cause them to start swinging and momentum (with the weight) would keep them swinging.
Conclusion
Its hosts like Jane & Mike that make what we do so good. Their hospitality was wonderful, thank you very much.
Unfortunately if the house is haunted, and I have no reason to doubt Jane & Mikes sincerity in regards to the strange things that take place, they did not want to show us any signs of this on our investigation. Maybe they were just happier to sit back and watch or maybe like Jane said, having emptied the house of all of the children played a big part in this. If ghosts and energies do exist maybe they feed from the energy in a house and there is no more positive energy than that of children.
Jane and Mike are adamant that there is nothing bad there and over the years they have owned the house have learnt to live with the strange goings on.
Again a massive thank you to Jane and Mike who along with Andy Jackson & Kate Weston invited Southern Paranormal UK to join them in investigating these going ons.
Unfortunately, more for Andy & Kate the spirits of this old house chose not to make their presence’s known to them that night (but Kate, it did not stop you from not wanting to go to the ladies on your own! J)
