Introduction

Southern Paranormal investigated this site back in March and I for one was eager to get back. We picked up on an amazing array of activity with many investigators picking up on the same information.

More investigators were to attend on this visit with a wider range of investigators from both groups. The previous report did not go out on the site before our second visit so I knew for sure that any information given couldn’t have come from anywhere else except for the building.

On this visit we also had access to a few more vigil areas that the staff of the site thought that we might be interested in. Yet again this site proved to be very active which offered a varied range of information coming forward.

I couldn’t wait to get the team back in.

So on a much more clement night than the previous investigation and with a little apprehension from the members, who had previously investigated this site, myself included, we prepared ourselves for another fantastic investigation at this Middlesex College.

Ghosts

After the first investigation Val and Ken gave up a little information on activity that had been witnessed at the site.
One of the old head masters is said to walk the upper floor passages.
A girl is seen in the performance hall and also the piano which is at the far end of the hall in a curtained off area is said to play on its own.

Personal Reports

Kerry Price

After a fantastic investigation at this site in March I was very eager to go back .
The one thing that struck me about this investigation was that it felt different, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but the difference was to make itself clear during the night.
After the investigators went on their tour of the building I could see that some of them had already started to pick up on active spirit within the school and from what they were telling me this seemed to fit in with what had been detected at this site on the previous visit and also by the staff at the college.
I couldn’t wait to get started.
My team consisted of Julie, Val, Mark who is a new member and I.

1st Floor Passages
As soon as I entered the area I felt very apprehensive. I thought that it might just be expectation after the last time we visited this site. There was just something about the place this time that felt odd. It felt that the spirits knew that we were coming and seemed eager to let us know that they were there.
As we switched off the lights I put a scarf around Val’s neck inside out. She did not know what the scarf was and soon forgot about it.
A whole range of activity was experienced here.
When I first walked to the end of the corridor I was very aware of a young man standing leaning with his back against the 1st locker. He was dressed very casually in beige trousers and jumper and seemed impossibly tall. He soon vanished.
Mark who is new to the group picked up a lot in this area. He became very agitated and felt that he was in trouble and was waiting for the master to tell him off. He had the image of a foreign dark skinned man with bryl creamed back black hair and was dressed in a light tweed jacket. The presence was picked up by all and Julie and Mark both had the image of the jacket. I found this very interesting as Mark had described a former master at the school to a tee. I know that only Val, Ken and I had seen any photographs of former teachers and masters so this proved even the more interesting. I was hoping that another team would pick up on this male spirit.
Amongst the strange activity that happened during this vigil was that a cone which was out in the corridor moved. We heard a dragging noise a couple of times and couldn’t identify what it was but knew that the noise came from the corridor that led to the main staircase. When we went to investigate we saw that the cone had moved. Although we hadn’t taken note of where the cone originally was it had been moved to the top of the staircase. If it had been in this position when we came up the stairs it would have been directly in our way and would need to move it. As no-one had moved it and hadn’t even noticed the cone then it must have moved. This was agreed by all when we moved dragged the cone back which made exactly the same noise that we had heard. From then on in the vigil I felt increasingly uncomfortable and was glad that I had locked off the camcorder as there was a lot of orb activity in response to calling out and this would have unsettled me more.
Another strange thing was that halfway through the vigil Julie seemed to just switch off. We couldn’t get her attention and she was staring at the wall. This is very unlike Julie and is a very active investigator during vigils. She felt as though she was in a dream and couldn’t hear what we were saying. I picked up on a girl at this point sitting outside on the grass making daisy chains. Maybe we were both picking up on the same spirit?

Room 101
As soon as we entered this room Mark had a headache. I instantly felt that there was a spirit male to the right of the room in front of the window. I asked Julie if she felt there was spirit here and where and she pointed to the same place, I had not disclosed what I thought.
This vigil proved to be very interesting. After questioning we found that we were talking to spirits that had died during both world wars. One spirit was Frankie who Julie had picked up on during the previous investigation and who we had since learned did attend this school and had in fact been one of 7 pupils who had died during WWI. The second spirit that we made contact with was Malcolm. Mark said that Malcolm didn’t get to say goodbye to his wife and this is a why he still feels sad. After questioning we found out that he died in WWII on foreign soil and was an engineer.
I could not find a link with the college to this name for this situation however it is interesting to note that a child named Malcolm had in fact died here during the war.
Mark and Val picked up on an RAF connection and I Val felt that someone was very interested in the scarf which she was wearing. At that point I relayed that the scarf was an RAF officer’s scarf, I then turned it in the right way to show Mark and Val as only Julie and I knew what it was. Val felt very shivery when she touched one of the RAF symbols on the scarf.
Val became aware of a presence where Julie and I had both felt a presence which is once again very interesting as we had not disclosed this information to Val and Mark.

Canteen
After the 2nd vigil Ken’s team joined ours. Both Louise and Sammy felt very uncomfortable and uneasy as they had picked up on a man who had abused 2 girls Harriet and Samantha. For their safety and protection the teams stayed together for the remaining vigils.
In this vigil we conducted a ouija experiment. We contacted a female spirit who was aware of what the male spirit had done and had covered it up.
It was also confirmed that the male spirit was around. Many noises were heard in the room during the vigil and would move between making noises and moving the glass. I felt that we were being played with and we all pretty much felt the same.
We found out that the male spirit came down the stairs through the double doors behind Kerry so now I knew why this area had been active.
There was movement noted to the double doors behind Julie which was seen by all at that end of the table. The noises were very confusing and seemed to be moving around, this did nothing to lessen the feeling of tenseness.
During questioning it was discovered that the male presence looked like Serge. Could this be the same male presence that mark had picked up on in the 1st floor passage?
I was very glad to get out of this area.

Performance Hall
This felt like a very threatening vigil. As we set up a glass divination both Julie and I felt that there was a male spirit behind Louise and Sammy and was leaning over them. We did not tell them as we thought that they were feeling more than uncomfortable already and we didn’t want to influence what they felt.
We started glass divination and contacted a girl called Clare who was 15 years of age and had taken her own life because of what the male spirit did.
After a while Mark said that he believed that we were talking to the male spirit and he was just playing with us. Lou felt the same.
So we communicated with the male spirit. He seemed pretty proud of what he had done and didn’t feel that he had done anything wrong. The abuse had been covered up by an older gentleman at the school who allegedly was the male spirit that I had picked up on in the previous investigation.
The glass kept moving in answer to Lou and Sammy and this just made me angry and them more unsettled. At one point Mark said a man was leaning over Lou and Sammy which confirmed what Julie and I had seen earlier. When we ended the glass divination Ken and Simon started table tipping with the rest of us watching. The table made very strong movements towards Simon almost tipping Simon from his chair on more than one occasion.
The remainder of us were all picking up on spirit men around the room, the hall seemed suddenly very crowded.
This was an uncomfortable vigil for all.
After the investigation I was told by Val that through her research she had found out that there was allegedly abuse at the school however it was two boys that were abused. Their names were Harry and Sam. Lou had been given the names Harriet and Samantha!

Séance
At the end of the evening the investigators that were left conducted a séance upstairs. Knocks and taps were heard during this vigil and cold spots. The most interesting things are as follows.
Mark felt a male spirit impress himself on him and felt very angry towards me. I felt that this was the male spirit that we had been in contact with. Val and her group felt very cold at one point Serge saw a face in one of the pictures which was confirmed by the rest of the group. After a while they could no longer see the face.
On the locked off camcorder Lou looked directly at the camcorder and then a loud click is heard. This is not heard by anyone but it is interesting that Lou felt something.

Wow what a great night. A strange mix of activity however many things that were picked up on was information that was expounded upon from the first investigation.
On reading the other teams notes I noticed that Team 4 had heard a coughing noise in the performance hall which had been heard on our previous investigation there and they had also heard 4 chimes which were heard in the 1st floor passage on our previous investigation.
What really interested me was that 2 young boys that had been were picked up on by this team in room 206 and this is where Lou had picked up on 2 girls in this room. Was the information getting mixed up or were there more poor boys that were abused by the same man?
Another great night.
Thank you to all the staff who once again agreed to work and help us with our investigation and allowing us again to investigate here.

Matt Hasler

This investigation was fantastic. I arrived just at the right time after a long day and the whole group went for a tour around the building. For some of us this was a refresher and for others it was a new thing! The college actually seemed even bigger this time than the first time back in March.

Once again the group I was with throughout the whole night heard noises and in the Travel and Tourism rooms had what seemed like a brutal beating of a young boy. All the bad vibes, feelings and even the tears were only inflicted on the males in the group! With myself having a lot happen in this room I was drained and by the 3rd vigil in the Library was half asleep.

Due to this and a long drive back to my dwellings I had to sadly cut the night short, however I feel like the I need to say a big thank you to the boy that was in the rooms for being so brave as to come forward to all 3 males in the rooms after all he had been through!

The venue was fantastic again and this time seemed much more active for me than the previous visit.

Sandy Rutter

First Vigil - Room 101
The team I was in was Alan, Selina, Chris (guest), Julie (guest) & myself. Alan started to call out, is there anybody there but to know avail. Then Selina started to call out. Selina had some response as there were a couple of orbs but it was very quiet in here and everybody felt fine. For some reason my back was freezing. I wasn’t stood anywhere that was cold. We tried table tipping but nothing happened.

Second Vigil - Canteen
Everybody walked about for a couple minutes and then sat down. I had a locked of camcorder facing down so it picked up most of the room. We took some photos. Alan called out but nothing happened then Selina had a go nothing happened. Half way through the vigil Alan saw a figure walk pass the coke machine just out side of the canteen. We tried table tipping but to no avail.

Third Vigil - The Performance Hall
We walked in to the hall, it was a very good atmosphere. It was dark and long. I had a camcorder locked off on the piano pointing towards the rocking chair. The team split up into two as Selina and me didn’t want to do the Ouija board so we stayed in the little room where the piano and rocking chair was. Alan Chris and Julie did the Ouija in the main hall. Selina & I heard a few bangs and thumps but that was it. After about fifteen minutes Selina and me swapped sides so we went under the Stage. We heard Alan say the name Robert, so under the stage I called out if is there anybody there make a noise, touch one of us, say something but unfortunately nothing happened. However when I mentioned the name Robert some orbs started to appear. When I started calling, the sprit that was with us Bobby we seemed to get even more orbs. Then I got the name James for some reason. I got a few orbs off that then we came out from under the stage and decided to go on top of the viewing gallery. I got a few orbs from up there too.

Forth Vigil - Rooms 206-207
We decided to split up again and me and Selina stayed in room 207. We kept getting cold blasts when we where sat on the tutors table but we discovered later one of the windows was open. I had a cam locked off pointing at the bit that looked like an aeroplane seating area. I also had a book I took of the shelf. I laid it on the table hoping that something would turn the pages over but nothing happened. Then we swapped rooms and again we called out. We caught a few orbs. I tried an experiment again. I got a piece of paper that was folded already and placed it on the table still folded but standing up, hoping something would knock it off but nothing happened so we went back to the meeting area.

Fifth Vigil - The Library
(Alan Selina and Sandy)
We only had fifteen minutes in here so we had to work fast. I felt uncomfortable as soon as we walked in. I took a few pictures and to my surprise I got a few orbs. I walked up to the back and got half way up where all the books where but came back. Half way up it was really creepy to me.

All in all a fairly quiet night but I would love to go back.

Simon Steadman

The first thing that I noticed about the college was just how huge it was! So hats off to the guys for staying with us and preventing all of us getting totally lost.

First vigil
The Library

Simon, Wayne, Mark and Stene.
On our way from the kit room we loitered at various points in the corridors where Mark managed to pick up a couple of light anomalies.
When we got to the library it felt fine, not odd at all, we all settled down and Wayne started to ask out. After about 15 mins the feel of the room changed and we all felt slightly uncomfortable. Mark also noted that the trigger object bell had moved slightly. We took photos and reset it.
Both Mark and Wayne thought they had spotted movement amongst the rows of books and as we all investigated the top end. Myself and Mark saw a yellowish light on the back wall of the office, we split up into two pairs and checked the windows for any cars or similar light sources, while we were doing this Stene and Wayne both saw the yellowish light in the office again. We felt that we had checked for reflections and external light, but we found nothing that could explain the movement or colour of the light.
During this vigil myself and Mark managed to catch some light anomalies, but unfortunately Stene and his daylight bringing camera failed to catch anything unusual. Still feeling slightly uncomfortable with the room we left to join the rest in the kit room.

Second vigil
The Art corridor

Simon, Wayne, Mark and Stene.
Again on the way to the art corridor (our thanks to Stene for getting us there) we all snapped off some shots in various corridors but caught nothing.
We had been in the vigil area for about 10 mins when the E.M.F decided to go wild the readings were off the scale. We were standing right by the doors and in the middle of the corridor. We finally decided that it could only be the electrics in the building but the readings only seemed to be about 5ft high by 1ft across. We tried the rest of the corridor and got the same readings where the corridor turned the corner, as we all stood discussing this fact we all heard a musical beeping sound then a loud scrape then a clunk.
We decided that again the electrics were to blame but found no concrete evidence as to what this noise was. When we got to the other end of the corridor (after scaring myself to death by walking into the droopy artwork display in complete blackness!!) we again got the beeping scrape clunk noise but it came from the opposite end of the corridor. A couple of light anomalies were caught, mostly coming from the floor but it felt fine.

Third vigil
First floor corridor

Simon, Wayne, Mark and Stene.
We got a couple of shots during the walk to the corridor, as we walked past the trigger object coins we noticed that 3 had moved slightly. We took photos and moved to the vigil area. The corridor seemed quiet until we got to the crossroads of and I felt a little nervous but I have no clue why. I felt really exposed and threatened, this lasted for about 20 mins during this time we managed to catch a few anomalies and a mouse in the corridor but very little else.

Fourth vigil
Room 101

Simon, Wayne, Mark, Stene and Serge.
Well room 101, unfortunately not as good as the tv programme as this room felt really quiet. Mark managed to catch a single light anomaly but nothing else happened for at least 30 mins, so after a sneaky trip to see if the canteen was empty we all began to creep along the corridor (like something out of Scooby doo). When we got to the canteen we all sat and waited but nothing happened until we were ready to leave when one of the computers kicked itself to life. Stene was sure that they had all been turned off as he did them himself as we set the trigger objects. Other than that all was still.

Final vigil
Room 207

Lots of us!!
We tried a seance with us all split into 3 separate groups in the same room. Kerry began to ask out, we heard a couple of odd noises but nothing conclusive. After repeated asking out by Kerry, Julie, Val and Wayne no other evidence was captured.

On the whole I was very impressed with the College. It was a fantastic place (even though it had the old school smell about it that took me back to childhood!!) and all of the guides were friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the night! Can’t wait to go back and try it again.

Rachel Bettany

This college was not as old as some of the places we have visited, but it was just as impressive. Firstly I would like to thank the staff who acted as guides for the evening as without them we would have got so very lost in the maze of rooms and corridors.

Vigil 1 - Canteen
Mandy, Shaun, Rachel, and Simon (guide)
We started off sitting around a table at the far end of the room. Shaun had the video camera while the rest of us took a few shots on stills cameras. We tried a Ouija with no luck although it was still early, after roughly 30 mins we moved to the other end of the room and some strange noises were heard but nothing conclusive. Just before leaving the area for the break Simon and Mandy thought they saw the doors moving although we could not decide if this was a trick of the light.

Vigil 2 - Performance Hall
Mandy, Shaun, Simon, and Rachel
This vigil started sat around a table in the middle of the room. Table tipping was attempted again no luck. We all took photos, and the video was running for most of this vigil. The group wandered up to the top of the hall into the storage area, were a few noises were heard. After a little while we headed under the stage, it was very very dark, but still, Simon and Mandy made their way back into the hall leaving Shaun and myself under the stage.10 mins passed nothing had happened so we rejoined the others. Mandy pointed out the two chairs in the storage area, as she was sure the chair on wheels seemed to have moved in front of the rocking chair. On looking at the photos I took, it appears the chair had not moved forward but it seems to have spun round slightly.

Vigil 3 - Rooms 206 & 207
Mandy, Shaun, Rachel, and Simon
We all took photos and went around the room with the video. As we sat around a table we tried glass divination, again no luck, although the entire team was convinced the clock was either stopping or just going quiet at times. We tried to monitor this but when we sat and watched the clock we didn’t hear it change, so I'm still undecided as to whether this was just the dark and time of night playing tricks on us. The other room was again quiet will little to report.

Vigil 4 - The art passage
Mandy, Alison, Andy, Lee, Rachel
While sitting at one end of this corridor a few noises were heard at the other end around a corner, so we wandered along to see if there was anyone there it was empty, but the noises were heard again, were we had just come from, so we walked back along, only for the same thing to happen again, some odd shadows were noticed (although not moving), we split the team into two one group at each end hoping to catch the noises, with no luck, At this point of the evening it was raining very hard so some of the noises we heard we discounted due to the weather. Part of the group wandered up to the first floor corridor, and heard a loud thud noise, downstairs Andy and myself heard definite footsteps, which turned out to be the rest of the team coming to see if we had made the loud banging noise.

Vigil 5 - Room 101
This was the last vigil of the night and we had split the teams so this time I was with Alison, Ken and a few others. On one side of the large table the men tried a Ouija while on the other side Alison and I tried the automatic handwriting planchette. The men had no movement on the Ouija, but the planchette moved every time Ken asked out. We continued for around 20 mins. Alison and I tried calling out while the men kept their hands on the Ouija, which still didn’t move but the planchette continued. Alison felt the name Elizabeth shortened to Betty had a connection to this room, the name Stewart was also mentioned.

The college seems to have a lot to offer but unfortunately not for us on this occasion, I would love to be able to go back, I really feel there is more there than we encountered. Once again, a big thanks to the guides for the night, who joined in as well as stopping us getting lost.

Lee Barrows

The college is an impressive looking building, from the outside it looks big and with it's various buildings added to the main building over the years, it was an almost daunting thought that we would be in there by ourselves. To me, school buildings always have an unusual sensation about them when you are in them when the students are not there, so baring that in mind, I was eager to see if that feeling would carry over to the actual investiation and once I stepped inside, the almost labyrinth like corridors did not ease my unease.

First Vigil
Performance Hall

Our team split into two groups to cover this large hall. One group took the stage (or more aptly under the stage) whilst the other took the hall itself and then we swapped over. I started off in the main hall itself and despite the sensation of people standing around the edge of the hall looking in and watching us in the middle of the room, not much seemed to happening for us. Until Alison and I found outselves drawn to the far end of the hall, where various bits of furniture seemed to be being stored. Various taps and raps were heard coming from near a radiator and we were unsure whether they could be attributed to the heating system or not. We swapped areas and we went under the stage. It was incredably dark, even with a torch and it only seemed to get darker the longer we were under there. But all in all, there did not seem to be a lot of activity.

Second Vigil
Rooms 206 & 207

There is an odd feeling in this room and what feels like a man pacing about, who Matt thinks was a teacher. Matt took a seat on the far side and seemed to be quite affected by something, apparenly connecting with a young man. I was sat with my back to the doorway to the smaller room 207 and I kept finding myself drawn to that room as if expecting someone to come out of there.
We moved into room 207 and I, almost immidiately, took a strong dislike to the place. It felt very oppressive and wrong and I was quite glad when Matt and Andy echoed this sentiments as it was practically driving me to tears, but interestingly the ladies of the group aren't. We were given the impression of a young boy, probably a student and possibly the same one as Matt had picked up on next door, although in here we were given the sensation that he was quite severly beaten and left locked in the room and Matt thought that he possibly made his escape out of the window and across the lower rooftops outside. I was very pleased when this vigil ended and we left these rooms, it was quite an uncomfortable feeling.

Third Vigil
The Library

Matt, seemingly quite exhausted after the previous vigil's events has a rest whilst Alison and Andy feel drawn to the far end of the library's shelves, where Alison apparently sensed an old lady pottering around, possibly tending the bookshelves. Certainly there is the impression that this lady is no threat. I did not pick up on anything out of the ordinary there I had to admit, although I was strangely attracted to a small corridor leading off to one side. Walking down this corridor I suddenly get a very strong impression of very intimidating man, most likely a teacher. I had never felt anything like this before, it was quite incredible. Walking about in the corridor I could almost feasibly detect where he apparently was and when I was nearby to him, it was not a pleasant experience. He was very angry and possibly had been drinking. He was also a bully and seemingly had no respect for anyone or anything, particulary women as when Alison tried addressing him I had the impression that he was dismissing her to the point of delibrately ignoring her. The impression I got was that he was hiding from someone, having been caught doing something he should not have been doing. I also got the name Michael or Michaels or something like that. This was the first time anything like this had happened to me and it was both scary as hell and eqaually fascinating.

Vigil Four
Arts Passage

This was a long corridor and seemingly very quiet. As soon as we got to one end of it, we felt drawn to go back to where we'd just come from. This happened a couple of times until we decided to split into two groups and go to either end. Nothing much seemed to happen so my group decided to go upstairs to the corridor above it, having been attracted to a nearby staircase. No sooner had we started to walk along this upper passageway that we heard a loud noise, which reminded me of shutters being pulled down suddenly. There was also a noise like knocking on one of the classroom doors. When we met up with the other half of the group, who were not far from where he had heard these noises, they had heard nothing. Very odd as that first noise should have travelled very well down the otherwise quiet corridors and stairs.

Conclusion
Wow! This investigation had really hit a spot with me. I had never experienced anything like what I had experienced up by the library. The sensation was almost overwhelming and is something that will stay with me for a long time. That combined with the sensations felt in room 207, I am convinced that there was something very tangible there in this building, and that is something that I can not say that I admit to very often. This was a fantastic investigation for me and I hope that one day we can return to this fabulous location. My thanks to the staff for giving up their evening and night and enabling us to carry out this investigation.
